Usually Indian mass is known for Short-lived memory. How many of U remember the paper-presentations by Congress ministers in May 2009 as part of their 100-day agendas. Urban Development minister(Shailaja)'s slum-free India, HRD minister(Sibal)'s confused concept of education, Price control, etc.
We had done no follow up on these promises for the obvious reason called -"busy earning livelihood".
There was another promise by GoI which consumed lot of space in newspapers those days. It was that of observing austerity and cutting expenses. We all know that this Government has been the most expensive one for exchequers. Now (when less than 6 months are remaining in their tenure) after a deep sleep Petroleum Minister has swung into action and announced that once in a week he will go to office in bus. Now that bus will certainly be on the lines of Rahul Gandhi's Local train travel(4 vacant adjoining boggies).
MoilyJi, we have stopped buying petrol at nights as per your orders. Now U also respect my request--take a taxi to your office and get it reimbursed. That will be lighter on our pocket.
If U don't honour our request, we may mull over paying Income Tax only once in our lifetime and thereby contribute towards healthy family economics.
